Cookies and storage on your device
This site sets no cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark theme choice, saved in local storage under the key theme when you change it, so the site remembers it. That is strictly necessary for a function you asked for, stays on your device and is never sent anywhere, so no consent banner is used. Fonts and the statistics script are served from this site itself; no fonts, scripts or images are loaded from other companies' servers. Calendly and Formspree, described below, apply their own cookie rules when you use them on their own sites.
What is processed, and why
Hosting (Vercel)
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States). To deliver and secure pages, Vercel processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time, and keeps it in its logs. If a newsletter sign-up fails, the kind of failure and the HTTP status code from MailerLite are also written to these logs, without your email address. Legal basis: legitimate interest in delivering a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visitor statistics (Vercel Web Analytics)
Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are told apart by a hash calculated from the incoming request, and that hash is discarded after 24 hours. For each page view it records the time, the page address, the referring page, filtered query parameters, an approximate location (country, region, city), operating system, browser and device type.
When you click a button to book a call, a click event is recorded with the name of the offer, the position of the button on the page and, where the offer has a listed price, that price. No name, email address or other identifier is sent. The statistics are only looked at in aggregate, to see which pages and offers people read. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding which content is useful (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form (Formspree)
The contact form sends your name, email address, type of enquiry and message to Formspree Inc. (United States), which forwards it to my Gmail inbox. I use it only to answer you. If the form is unavailable, it opens your own email program instead and nothing passes through Formspree. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Email (Gmail)
Emails you send me, and contact-form messages, arrive in a Gmail mailbox provided by Google. I use them only to handle your question and any follow-up. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Newsletter (MailerLite)
If you subscribe, your email address is sent from this site's server (Vercel) to MailerLite, which stores the subscriber list and sends the newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in each email or by emailing me; withdrawing consent does not affect sending that took place before.
Booking a call (Calendly)
Booking buttons open Calendly (Calendly LLC, United States) in a new tab; nothing from Calendly is loaded on this site. The link carries parameters that name the offer and the button you used (for example utm_campaign=playwright-audit), so I can see which page a booking came from. What you enter on Calendly, such as your name and email address, is shared with me to hold the call. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Not used
There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, no social media plug-in and no payment on this site. Your data is not sold or shared for marketing. Project statistics shown on some pages are fetched from GitHub by the server; no visitor data is sent to GitHub. Links to LinkedIn, GitHub and other sites are plain links: those sites only receive your data if you follow the link.
Who receives your data
Only the providers named above, each for the activity it supports: Vercel (hosting and statistics), Formspree (contact form), Google (email), MailerLite (newsletter) and Calendly (booking). Data is also disclosed if the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU
Vercel, Formspree, Calendly and Google can process data in the United States. MailerLite is based in the EU. Each transfer to the United States relies on the safeguard the provider names in its own data processing terms: the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, otherwise the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can ask me for details of the safeguard that applies.
How long data is kept
- Hosting logs: for the limited period Vercel keeps request logs, after which Vercel deletes them.
- Visitor statistics: the visitor hash is discarded after 24 hours; what remains are aggregated counts that no longer identify anyone.
- Contact form messages and emails: as long as needed to answer and follow up, then deleted. If an enquiry leads to paid work, the records needed for accounting are kept for the seven years Dutch tax law requires.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your address.
- Calendly bookings: until the call has been held and followed up, then deleted.
Do you have to provide your data?
No. You can read the whole site without giving any personal data; the technical request data above is needed to deliver pages to you. To get an answer to a message I need a way to reach you, usually an email address. To receive the newsletter I need your email address. Not providing data has no other consequence.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, ask me to restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email rajub4u927@gmail.com; I answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Automated decisions
No automated decisions or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects take place on this site.
Changes
If the way this site handles data changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes. See also the terms of use.
